Laughs Tracks: Adaptability Arena and Reading the Room (First Day of Classes!)

$25.00 – $200.00Join The Corner Gallery and Four First Names for an 8 week improv curriculum. Whether you are a beginner or a twenty year veteran this class is for you.
Beginners–At the end of the semester you will have an understanding of improv acting, increased confidence in creating and making choices and have the ability to play with authenticity, coherence and fun!
Advanced Short Form–At the end of the semester you will have an understanding of advanced short form games, basic rhyming for rap scenes, and advanced acting work. Laugh Tracks Beginner short form or outside equivalent is required for advanced short form.
Advanced Long Form–At the end of the semester you will be able to play with more advanced comedy technique and theory, consistently improvise scenes that resonate, delight and build no matter who you play with and more quickly develop, create and execute a variety of improv forms.
Everyone–Have a better sense of how teamwork can work for everyone!
There will be two performance opportunities in this program, December 4th and December 18th.
Course Begins September 4 and runs every first and third Wednesday of the month until December 18th. You can drop in to each class for $25 for no performance track. Class time: 6:30-9 PM. $200 for the full eight week program. If you are bringing a new student please reach out about referrals.
As a benefit of full performance track you receive free cost of admission to all Corner Gallery shows, jams, and a discounted rate for specialty workshops.

- Adapt to performance needs of the set.
- Demonstrate teachability by learning from moments that do not work in a show or scene.
